Vash learned about what Bell had done. He knew he had his method to get back into command of his ship. He went to Tania and asked her to help him in exchange for becoming his partner once more in the Tanmesad.
Tania was asked to have Nicole perform the T'Waakian surgery. Nicole was not keen but wanted to help her mother. Vash brought in an unconscious Landi Todd. Nicole was terrified and threatened to leave. Vash and Tania looked at Nicole, "She is a soldier. She has a role to play. She understood that when she signed up."
"Much like Christine, she will be given free reign in the Renaissance. She is a winner.", Tania observed.
Nicole reluctantly performed the surgery. Such genetic manipulation would be a crime in 2396 and a violation of the Starfleet Medical Code of Conduct. Nicole was embarrassed and hurt that she had been asked to be a part of the coup to take the Tanmesad from Marino and Matio.
Vash woke up from the surgery ecstatic with the outcome.
He had been embarrassed living as a Sikh male in Brooklyn. He was now going to get his chance to get the Tanmesad back.
Landi Todd is a relative of Graceland "Lando" Todd, a legendary marine. When she awoke in the Renaissance, she was reborn as "Lando Jr." Stuck with a Cardassian appearance thanks to the gene splicing and as a male because of the dominant DNA. Lando Jr. was not impressed with his new appearance.
Vash needed Tania to convince Admiral Viceroy to give him back the Tanmesad. Vincent was actually impressed with Vash as a bus driver and agreed to reassign the current CSI unit. Vash and Tania were given the body retrieval unit. Vincent actually scolded, "Be careful what you wish for."
Lashanra Varno had learned that the primary timeline had returned to 2396 and a war has broken out between the Hebetian Republic and Klingon Empire. She chose to return to Cardassia to serve as a doctor. This left King's County Medical without a coroner. Vincent and Skye approached Ro Marino about the position promising to teach the cross dressing Bajoran about human medicine and promised to make the former freedom fighter into a doctor by working as the medical examiner. Marino had spent his time dealing with dead bodies in 2016. He agreed to join the staff.
Matio was very happy for Marino but wondered where he would end up. Matio was at the Renaissance when Illyan Coren stopped in and asked the Bajoran to become a fire fighter. Matio was excited by the opportunity.
Marino came home after his first day of carving bodies. He showered and walked out to find a sweater dress laying on the bed with a note, "We are going to Leo's to celebrate Dr. Ro."
Marino smiled and got changed. Even though it was becoming more acceptable for a male to dress as a woman, Marino refused. He was all male in the workplace. He however loved to experience freedom as a woman at home,
He and Thua'ra went downstairs. Both were surprised to see Thanius Tchilack as a human. He obviously had the surgery as well. He and Ontario Todd were having supper. Marino waved at the couple.
The couple enjoyed supper although they were annoyed by the playful flirting between Nico Laa and Salem Todd, the new couple behaved like teenagers in heat.
Thua'ra complained about Nico and Salem as they went back upstairs. Marino teased, "In some ways it was fun to see them so early in love."
"If I grabbed the rail and lifted my skirt, wouldn't you act the same.", Marino looked at Thua'ra.
"I am an ambassador and a gentleman, I would behave accordingly.", Thua'ra offered.
Marino lifted her skirt.
Thua'ra shook his head, "You are bad!"
Marino slowly lowered his nylons. It was a celebration after all.
