Captain Christian Moyer has been given the role of Task Force Commander of the only Task Force in the King’s Fleet. He has been given command of the USS Quasar Quest. These are monstrous shoes to fill as the ship was once commanded by Captain John Warren, widely considered one of the very best ever.
Christian has further stresses because now his father, Admiral Gabriel Moyer is in charge of the King’s Fleet. Christian has been put under increasing pressure to bring the group of prisoners on stream with the ongoing negotiations between the Klingon Federation and the United Federation of Planets and the goal to use Reykja Penthe as a marker post between the two superpowers.
Christian had traveled via shuttle to the USS / CGV Tanmesad to speak with the group about serving as a guide for the Klingons hoping to refuel at Covenant Station. Christian however called into question the role of Major Eetya Numan as the executive officer aboard the the Tanmesad. Klingons did not see the woman and more particularly the Bajoran woman as worthy of the role.
Christian was shocked when Gul Neron Kira stood up for his Bajoran first officer. The Cardassian, hated by his Bajoran first officer for his adopting of the Bajoran Faith and for his dress in traditional Bajoran garb could have rid himself of the Bajoran once and for all.
Instead of supporting Captain Moyer, Gul Kira informed the good captain that the Klingons will have to grow as a culture and get used to being bossed around by a woman, a very competent Bajoran woman.
Christian was very pleased with the growth aboard the Tanmesad. Perhaps the King’s Fleet was going to be okay after all.
